Keno Methods That Work

It won’t commonly be thought of as the most fun game in the universe of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of steadfast admirers. As well it should! It’s a regularly entertaining lottery-like game that’s a snap to master, readily available in several alternate formats, and one that will pay out millions of dollars for gamblers who master its numerous subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.

When describing keno to beginners, some wagering masters compare it to bingo. This is at least partly correct, in that both games are essentially numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far might be to discount the good many unique aspect that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the ability to pick the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the user is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to choose as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a super genius to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your selected numbers with a ordinaryball point pen like you used when you were a kid.

Once you have checked your numbers, take the keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The nice person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your face and would like to help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will collect precisely $.00 for your actions.

OK, so there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a bit more useful, shall we?

Once you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action unfold on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers appear for all to see. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get up to the keno stand to get your winnings, and then a new round of keno will probably begin within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you don’t trust yourself to meet that five-minute margin each and every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the very same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the maximum amount of keno games (the same as the amount of tickets) is played, you can then get off your numb butt and go retrieve your winnings.

Yet an additional choice is referred to as a "stray and play" keno card, which generally allows you make number picks for 30 keno rounds or more. Gosh, you can take a Swedish massage and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

So now you know several essential methods for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable gambler, they might seem to be stupidly obvious. But it won’t hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a new keno player, every little bit of information will help make your keno experience more fun.
