Keno Schemes That Will Help You Win

It won’t generally be deemed the funnest game in the field of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of devoted admirers. And so it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lottery-like game that’s uncomplicated to pickup, readily available in loads of assorted formats, and one that can pay out millions for gamblers who learn its countless subtle rules. But let’s start with the beginner’s rules for now.

When defining keno to amateurs, some gaming pros compare it to bingo. This is at least partially correct, in that each game is basically numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to miscalculate the endless unique characteristics that make keno so entertaining. Not like bingo, keno players have the ability to pick the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the player is given an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your desired numbers with a normalmarker like you had when you were a kid.

Once you have selected your numbers, carry the game card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your face and wants help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will get exactly $.00 for your efforts.

OK, so there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move on to something a tiny bit more complicated, yes?

After you’ve checked off your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and observe the action take place on a video monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you picked winners, mark your card aptly. Be sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, and a new keno game will surely start within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always go back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can’t trust yourself to beat that 5 minute margin every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" ticket. These include the self same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 slips. When the maximum amount of games (fitting the number of tickets) is played, you can then get off your lazy back side and go redeem your winnings.

Another option is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually allows you make number choices for 30 games or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!

So now you are aware of a couple of required techniques for winning keno. If you are a skillful gambler, they might appear to be stupidly obvious. But it doesn’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a beginner player, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno gambling more fun.
