Keno Methods That Win

It will not usually be deemed the most lucrative game in the realm of gaming, but keno has loads of passionate players. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a consistently thrilling lotto-ish game that’s easy to learn, abundantly available in lots of assorted variations, and one that may return mega-dollars for those who learn its innumerable subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basic rules here.

When defining keno to newcomers, some betting experts compare it to lotto. This is at least in some measure apt, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far will be to downplay the great many unique characteristics that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the freedom to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as numerous (or as few) numbers as she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your selected numbers with a every day oldpen like you had when you were in third grade.

Now that you’ve checked your numbers, carry your game card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will collect precisely $.00 for your time spent.

And there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move on to something a tiny bit more complex, ok?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get into a comfortable keno booth and see the action take place on the big keno monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you marked winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to take too much time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to collect your winnings, as a new keno game will probably begin within not too many minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you do not trust yourself to meet that five-minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 tickets. When the max number of games (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you are then able to get off your lazy rump and go collect your winnings.

Still another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally allows you make number picks for thirty keno rounds or more. Hell, you can take all the time in the world and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

And now you know a couple of essential techniques for winning keno. If you are a discerning gambler, they might appear to be incredibly obvious. But it won’t hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a new player, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno games more agreeable.
