Keno Schemes That Win

[ English ]

It might not generally be deemed the best game in the arena of wagering, but keno has loads of keen admirers. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a regularly exciting lotto-type game that’s a snap to pickup, abundantly available in several assorted formats, and one that may return millions of dollars for gamblers who learn its countless subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basic rules here.

When explaining keno to novices, some betting connoisseurs compare it to lotto. This is at least in some measure correct, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far can be to think too little of the great many unique traits that make keno so exciting. Not like bingo, keno players have the freedom to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your chosen numbers with a standardball point pen like you had when you were in third grade.

Now that you have picked your numbers, take your keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The nice person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and would like to help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your time spent.

Ok, there you have strategy numero uno: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s advance to something a little more useful, what do you think?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and see the action happen on the screen. This is where the winning numbers show up for us. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to drag your feet, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You want to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, since a new drawing will likely start within five minutes.

Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to make that five-minute margin every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to 20 slips. When the max amount of games (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your numb bum and go get your winnings.

Yet another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally allows you make number selection for thirty keno games or more. Hell, you can take vacation to France and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you know a couple of essential methods for winning keno. If you are an experienced user, they may seem to be incredibly obvious. But it will not hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new gambler, every tiny bit of direction will help make your keno experience more captivating.
